Brief Theme of the Programme:
The globalization of economy requires introduction of new indigenous products with enhanced features at competitive costs in short time. Product design and development is the process of creating a new innovative product for the benefit of society. The main objectives of the course are (i) to expose participants to the fundamentals of product design concepts, development and methodology (ii) building in confidence and capability amongst the participants in the application of product design tools and techniques, (iii) providing exposure to practical industrial problems and their solutions, through case studies and live projects on product design and development. This course would provide an excellent opportunity for the participants to interact with experts from Academics, R & D organization and Product development organisation and exchange ideas of mutual interest.
